Mapping the Transnational Circulation and Control of Small Arms in Latin America

We are an international consortium analyzing the circulation of military-style firearms in Latin America, the adoption and implementation of national and multilateral control norms and the effects of such weapons in the region’s gun culture. Through our mixed-methods research, we aim to identify the main challenges and opportunities for international cooperation in the prevention of illegal flow and misuse of small arms that hinder human-centred development.
